One of the must-haves when looking for a Seminyak Villa holiday rental in Bali is an epic swimming pool. It should be big – seriously big. Tiny plunge pools are for the undeserving, and you clearly deserve your own giant frolicking space.

You want to be able to jump in and splash around with abandon, preferably with Instagram-worthy pool toys like a huge flamingo floatie.

It’s also really important to find out if the swimming pool gets ‘s all day sun or not. Many villas will display photos of a sun-drenched pool only to find when you get there that the sun only hits the pool for 10 minutes in the middle of the day and is shaded by an adjoining wall or the villa itself. Your Bali holiday is too important to settle for less!

The pool at Villa Koru measures 9 x 6 meters and 1.7 m at the deep end with easily accessible steps leading down to the shallow end, and it gets sun all year round!

Every bedroom looks out onto the pool – it’s the centrepiece of the villa – with an outdoor shower tucked away in the garden so you can wash off without getting your bedrooms wet. Taking a shower outside after getting out of the pool is one of the great luxuries of holidaying in a Bali villa.

We have sunbeds just made for working on that holiday tan and several squishy bean bag chairs that you can position just where you want. The twin salon quality massage beds on the raised deck overlooking the pool are a favourite.
